Merry Christmas You are cordially invited to a
most important Birthday Celebration!
Dear Partners and Prayer Warriors,
The
reply: “Even though the
actual date of Jesus’ birth is unknown, we believe December 25th
is the date set by man to celebrate His birth.”
As Doug put it, this was a 20 second conversation he had with a
co-worker. Doug also stated that he celebrates Jesus every day so the
actual date of Jesus birth was not the issue of importance, but that His
Coming was and is! This is where the conversation ended. In the matter
of a few seconds a pointed linear conversation changed from what date
Jesus was born into a more broadened
“why” He was born! A kind of paradigm shift from the important to
the Most Important! Jesus came as a man – the Word in flesh. He became the ultimate blood sacrifice for us on the cross. He defeated sin and death, took the keys from hell and then went back to sitting at the right hand of the Father. To know from the very beginning the sin of the whole world would be put upon His countenance and the agony he would suffer hanging on a tree. To consider the love of Christ to volunteer for that sacrifice is beyond comprehension to our mortal souls. As we choose to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, take a moment to consider ALL that His Coming represents. His last words before He gave up His spirit were “IT IS FINISHED!” His birth IS of the most importance to mankind!
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, remember He loved us first and still
loves us most.
“For
God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
For God did
not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world
might be saved through Him.” John 3:16-17 (NASB) We want to take a moment and mention the Amazon Smile giving program. Loving People Enough Ministries has partnered with Amazon Smile.
