We are the offspring of the great I AM. Superheroes and servants of the Most High God! Our address is under the shadow of the Almighty, and no evil comes near us.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.” Genesis 1:1-3

The very first words of Truth ever written are found in the scripture above.  It gives a vivid description of how God, The Creator, began everything by the spoken Word of His power and light.  The word light in this scripture comes from the Hebrew word “owr” which literally means the light of day.  The Latin word is “phos”. It is where we get the word photon or a particle of light as emitted from the sun.  Acts 26:13 describes a light brighter than the sun at midday.  Both of the scriptures in Genesis and Acts use the same Latin word “phos,” as does James 1:17, to describe the light of the Father.   “… coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.”  (James 1:17 – Emphasis mine) So how can the same word describe both the Creator and the created?

Malachi 3:6 says: “For I, the Lord, do not change…” The Lord does not change, but creation DOES!

In 1999  Lene Vestergaard Hau at Harvard University successfully slowed down the speed of light to 40 MPH. Our point here is to say that everything of this world (kosmos lat) is subject to change; but the things of God (Spirit) do not change.

If you are placing your trust in the “created”, (what you can see, touch, smell, hear and taste) then that trust will be violated to the point that there will be no hope. All things of this world will pass away (2 Peter 3:10).  However, Jesus said in John 6:47 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.” What an awesome promise to grab hold of!  We will be the first to admit that it is hard to look beyond the five senses and to live by faith with the Spirit who lives in us. It takes time and it takes practice – a lot of practice! But it does not change who He is nor does it change His promises for our life.  While His creation will pass away, we will not because He lives in us and us in Him. He is in the Father and therefore the Father is in us.

There is a simple statement that has affected many people.  It is:  “Heaven is real, Hell is real, and where will you spend eternity?” This world WILL pass away, heaven will ALWAYS remain!  There is hope in the everlasting Father!
