Keep our focus on God, Eyes set toward Eternity, to be Kingdom minded through the mind of Christ.

“You must catch the troubling foxes, those sly little foxes that hinder our relationship. For they raid our budding vineyard of love to ruin what I’ve planted within you. Will you catch them and remove them for me? We will do it together.”  Song of Songs 2:15 (TPT)

Dear Partners and Prayer Warriors,

I love the Lord’s gentleness, in this scripture. He tells us how and what to do to keep us in right relationship with Him.

He specifically tells us what the problem is: “the troubling foxes…those sly little foxes!” In other words, the distractions! There are so many to choose from today: The political unrest, the pandemic, the vaccinations, the conspiracy theories and that doesn’t even include the distraction of an everyday personal life.  Suffice to say, we certainly do not lack for things to obstruct our focus upon. I am reminded of a scripture where Jesus was making reference to food and how all things are allowable but not all things are beneficial. I think that could apply to our daily Christian walk as well. The distractions around us that become our focus and not taking thoughts captive, while allowable, is not beneficial.

The Lord also gives us the results of what happens when we do not “catch” the foxes. He says “they raid the vineyard of love He has planted within us.” I see those uncaught foxes and the havoc that they reek every day in how we, as people, treat one another now. It is disheartening! People are angry. Even the Christians are angry!  Everyone has an opinion and there are so many untruths and fake news out there that it is hard to decipher what is even real anymore.
However, at some point, we began pressing our opinions and conspiracy theories onto others and that is dangerous! We must respect each other’s boundaries and we must do as the Lord is imploring us to do and that is to keep our focus on Him and Him alone. Stay in His Word and find out for yourself what the promises are for your life. Guard your heart by what you allow yourself to see, hear, and participate in and for how long. Base all of that upon the Word of the Lord and your relationship with Him first!

The best part of the scripture is the last sentence: “We will do it together.” We are never alone but sometimes we are the ones who get distracted and we find ourselves alone with all these menacing “little foxes” because we forgot where we left Jesus. He will always be found, right where we left Him. In putting God first in every area of your life and by reading His Word, He will draw close to you as you draw close to Him, giving no place  for little foxes to spoil the love vineyard you and Him share. Little foxes make us work way too hard in this life and they can make us grow weary. God has all our answers with solutions and we will do it together. He in us, for one another!

One last thing, Doug and I are going deeper into the Word of God for our lives. We want to encourage you to do the same. We have been inundated with prophecy messages, and messages from other pastors, fake news and conspiracy theories, to the point that we have turned it all off! We are reading God’s Word and by His own promise, we stand in faith that His Holy Spirit will teach us all things in Truth. We are going to Church because corporate fellowship is so very important and He inhabits the praises of His children. We go to work and we spread the love of Jesus, by His Word because it literally is the ONLY TRUTH we have to stand on. At Loving People Enough Ministries we want to continue to meet people right where they are! We want to love on them and wash them in the Word and walk them through their stuff without judgment or opinion. We want to give them the Word of God, only, and do that with respect to their boundaries and needs – spirit, soul and body, as best we can.

You are a huge part of what we get to do in God’s Kingdom. We will all share in the same blessing of meeting others and leading them through the Word for their lives. Hopefully, we will all get to watch others grow to their maturity in Christ and for them to turn around and help someone else. We will get to partake in those blessings together! God is good like that! We want to thank you for being our prayer warriors and financial partners. We love what we get to do because of your partnership, prayers and support for LPE Ministries. We wouldn’t ever want to do it without you! Know that we pray for you as well and we speak blessing over your lives.

“You see, every child of God overcomes the world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world. So who are the world conquerors, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”

1 John 5:4-5 (TPT)
