April-May 2022

Keep our focus on God, Eyes set toward Eternity, to be Kingdom minded through the mind of Christ.

Dear Partners and Prayer Warriors,

Doug and I want to take time out to express our thanks and gratitude for your love and support of us and Loving People Enough Ministries during these last few months.

For those of you who do not know and wonder what has happened, let us explain. Between December 10,2021 till February 26, 2022 we have lost many people we hold dear. They include:  two clients, three friends (one of which was a board member), our daughter Aaron, Lisa’s Dad and a friend and mentor with whom Doug worked with. It has been a tough season and to top it off, Lisa is recuperating from major surgery.

During the losses, the processing and the grieving, the one thing that has not waivered and has held us together is our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. He is placing our every step and leading our every conversation and keeping us in today with Him each and every day! For a while it sort of felt like shell shock because the world would not slow- down in order for us to keep up and so we decided to take ourselves out of the world to regroup. We hope you all understand.

During this time we have continued to work but at a much slower pace than usual. We know idle hands are the devils workshop so we have been pressing into the Father for us personally and asking for new perspective and He is doing that.  Our hearts are healing in God’s timing and in His Ways!

We are very grateful for the love and prayers of support we have received and for those who continue to support us financially –thank you for believing in us. Without both prayers and financial support we cannot, and do not want to do, this without you. Each of you plays a vital role within Loving People Enough Ministries. Your blessings to us and through LPEM grow exponentially throughout the Kingdom.

One last piece of information!  We will be teaching at the Walking in Freedom class on April 30th. The topic is Co-dependency.

In May, we plan to take a short trip for a change of scenery and it is our hope that we will be rested and ready to start fresh when we get back.

Love and Blessings,

Pastors Doug & Lisa Barber
